That being said if you do mod your game you should have a separate install so you can play that fully offline and not risk any bans then just rename the folders or go to the folder with RDR unmodded to play with online.Īnother example of mods making the game fun and different is REDM. This game really needed a private lobby for friends or randoms on the internet to meet up and be able to play the storylines online. The one thing I wished is that there was a mod that made dead eye work for the models you switch to cause I have one of the saloon girl models I play as a lot on side missions and missions I never get to experience online cause no one plays them and just tries to do bounty hunting or Shoot each other for glory. Does this look awkward when playing story missions yes.cause Arthur will not be him but whatever model your playing. Mods can allow that to happen from fans modifying the files to access those missions and such in single player. Or online content like the story and missions but not online with all the trolls and overpowered players. My point is, using mods to get achievments is totally waste of time and prove how lazy some people are.ĭid you ever wish to play a game from a different perspective, or as a different character. That game was made to beat you, not the other way around. While using mod to get an achievment you can't call yourself a player, the crowd didn't handle the game, because of their lazyness, but will never stay near battletoads, contra and alike. Originally posted by pike:mods are cheats, why would one expect achievements to be achievable with a modded game ? running mods(cheats) negates the whole concept of an achievement, if you want the achievement dont mod the game and earn it Generation Y, they want everything in the easy way, don't like to play every inch of the game. I meant that it took 2 seconds find out if mods disable achievements or not. The above mods do NOT prevent Steam Achievements, nor do they give them you without earning them. Mods are cool - having everything handed to you is not. If someone can link to one - we'll know which one not to use. Seems like there may be some bogus info floating around. I used Google for more than 2 seconds and didn't find one mod that gives you all the achievements for RDR2. Not so much an issue, but some advice: When you 'Teleport' to another map location (Trainer), do so on a ROAD, 'cause when you and your horse arrive in the top of a tree and hit every branch on the way down - it really makes your horse unhappy. Those are the only issues I've found and I wouldn't even consider those 'game breaking'. Mostly associated with 'Real' or 'Computer' time. Solved by using only Pause Clock.ģ) If you forget to let the game clock run when you sleep - you may wake up at the exact moment you laid down. Solved.Ģ) If you use 'Real Time' or 'Computer Time' The Camp can go from Gold Provision Icons to Red if you save and reload without returning game clock to normal state. The "few small issues" (the only ones I have found):ġ) If you have the game clock paused, the Donation box is inaccessible. (New Austin is a crap hole - but seeing just how much is easier when you're not having your head blown off - Tame the Blackwater Pinkertons with 'Never Wanted' in the Trainer). (I like rain that lasts longer than 2 minutes) ("Hello, Mister" - and I'll not crash my horse into you while I speak to you, K?) (got tired of playing around with R*'s Auto Mark Level One Nightmare - and being eaten by alpha predators I could only manage to shoot in the foot - defaults to Max Level 4 - User can define different actions) (works just as well as the standard Native Trainer - with LeMat, arrow keys and easier on eyeballs - mine, at least) A few hic-cups to mention - and I do in this quote: In several recent threads discussing mods, I have revealed the mods I'm currently using that do NOT alter game files and as far as I can tell in 2000+hrs of play, do NOT break the game. Mods do not affect Steam Achievements - at least these don't. Originally posted by HopeBestman:Are mods create problems for achievements or not?
